Feeling Inspired...

I was feeling "inspired" to try something NEW and start making wire wrapped rings with some of the beads and wire that I have in my inventory. I came up with this design after taking a look at a pair of gold and pearl earrings that hubby bought me for Christmas last year. Here is what I came up with after about an hour of trial-and-error:

I used a 10mm Swarovski white pearl and about 2 feet of 18 gauge non-tarnish gold wire
This design reminds me if a little bird egg tucked away in its nest!
I made it a size 8 to fit my middle finger...perfect fit!

Rule of thumb (no pun intended!): always wrap your ring 1 size larger that the finger you are going to wear it on. If you are going to add more than a couple of coils on each side of the ring, starting wrapping at 1.5 sizes larger.

Materials Used: 10mm Swarovski white pearl from Artbeads and 18 gauge non tarnish gold wire from Bead Smith.
